QUEEN OF THE REPUBLICAN RIGHT

Some people seem to be concerned that Sarah Palin might continue to represent the Republican right wingers, especially the religious fanatics. What's wrong with that? She is a fine representative of those folk.

SARAH DRAGS MCCAIN TO DEFEAT

John McCain courted the religious right by selecting Sarah Palin as his Vice-Presidential candidate. McCain had little support within the Republican party and by selecting her he made a sort of Faustian bargain because the religious right still doesn't support him.

Many voters have reported fear of a Palin Vice-Presidency. In many ways she wound up a millstone around his neck.

We may find out if there was an effort to replace Palin which somehow went awry. Palin clearly puts herself first and is probably controlled by the Rove wing of the ongoing Republican conspiracy against democratic rule and Democratic rule.

Palin's nomination represented the weakness of the Republican coalition. Ron Paulists do not like McCain's glorification of empire and his economic policies offend them.

The numerous defeats and shocks to the Bush-Cheney clique have left Republicans in some disarray with many heading for the hills in the midst of economic and political crisis. No one wants to take responsibility for the financial and broader economic meltdown.

Neither McCain n0r Palin addressed the economic crisis in any meaningful way. Obama is guilty of the same neglect but he did provide some ideas which suggested a more beneficent policy with some tax cuts for the less affluent.

As for Palin it will be interesting to see if she continues to play the role of a Republican leader. With her many negatives I doubt it. They largely
freaked out the voters who found out about her and I can't imagine her
remaining in office with Democrats running more and more of national and Alaskan government.

IS SARAH PALIN A SUPERSTAR?

There seems to be something bizarre about the emergence of Sarah Palin as the person to be one breathe away from the Presidency assuming Palin/McCain somehow seize power. I can't imagine them really winning the election, stealing it yes.

Will she remain a superstar for the racist and apocalyptic morons at the core of the GOP? Who knows? I just don't see her as a serious leader. What is so super about her? Nothing.

PATSY MCCAIN EATS SARAH'S GRITS

The McCain/Palin ticket has been pretty weird. One reason I say this is that they seem to be running largely different campaigns, making contradictory promises and taking different and often conflicting positions as they speak across the nation. Palin seems to be more interested in building up her image as the most backward of the Republican religious rightists rather than working with her patsy, McCain who fails to share her moronic pseudoChristian fanatacism.
McCain doesn't want to be used by Sarah Palin, that was supposed to be her job, but that is what has happened.

Then there are the reports that McCain and Palin aren't trusting each other. Imagine that, two Republicans who can't even trust each other! What has this world come to? I guess it's too late to change the ticket and dump Palin. What to do on the eve of certain electoral defeat?

Just think, McCain could have had Mayor Bloomberg or someone like Governor Kassebaum of Kansas on his ticket. Instead he went for a cryptofascist fundamentalist who hates him! The man is truly a military and political genius!

PALIN'S TROOPERGATE SCANDAL HIGHLIGHTED WORLDWIDE

BBC is now broadcasting the results of the Alaskan report on Sarah Palin's dismissal of an out of favor family member from his position in state government. Could calls for her removal from the Republican ticket be far behind?

After the "Hail Sarah" play comes what?

The "Hail Joe Lieberman" play. Or so Nostradamus prophesied.

If that is the plan will Sarah cooperate? Can McCain just dump her ala McGovern,
Eagleton?

Fortunately BBC is documenting Sarah Palin's obvious unpreparedness for the position at hand. Why don't Americans seem to care about preparation?

IS MCCAIN GEORGE BUSH'S AND KARL ROVE'S PATSY

Naomi Klein has written an insightful piece on Sarah Palin and how she is being positioned as an American Evita peron, someone who will run a totalitarian government with a sexy smile.

SARAH PALIN'S MAKE-UP COMES OFF

The Republicans started all the talk about lipstick and pigs. Then they became furious when Obama copied their rhetoric. Now the Sarah Palin myth is falling apart we have to ask whether or not her ever more probably demise as Republican VP nominee is becoming inevitable?
Of course after crying about Obama's cream puff remarks about lipstick the Republican pigs squealed, well, like a herd of Limbaughs! Then the facts being reported by the press were also greeted with all sorts of porcine commotion!

It reminds me of what my conservative mother used to say when one of us boys went whining to her, " You can sure dish it out but you just can't take it!" That sounds just like Limbaugh and his cultists right there!

[Isn't Rush the one who hypnotized the far right into nominating Palin as VP?]

Republicans hate someone stealing their lines! After all, expensive speech writers produce their rhetoric, word for word! It's like stealing someone else's intellectual property, eh? Yeah, its funny how so much of that down home, good ole boy rhetoric is written by graduates of Yale and other strongholds of the intellectual elite. Bubba will never notice, they think! Yuck, yuck!

I always thought the Republicans hated the Clintons so much because, in many ways, the Clintons were better Republicans than the Republicans themselves during those years.

I have to go back to Rush Limbaugh as our model Republican for the purposes of this discussion. Rush is a monster. He can't live with anyone. If another Rush Limbaugh came in the room Rush would hate that other Rush more than he used to hate Hillary Clinton. Doesn't he pretend to dote on her now? Did the Clinton rhetoric every stray from the moderate Republican perspective? Probably not. Rush and the rushombies hate just about everyone, including each other! But they love to howl for the blood of a common enemy. It's the old white supremacist perspective, "Lynching will keep us together!" Yesterday it was the Clintons, today its the Obamas. Good ole conservative family values.

Yes, dissolute Bill and evil Hillary were fiscal conservatives in one respect, balancing the federal budget. The Republicans have been budget busters since and including the Reagan administration. Yet Republicans still make a living mocking the Democrats as the budget busters! Only in the land of the totally brainwashed could this be possible. Our miseducation system has been overwhelmingly successful. We did it for the Gipper! "Let's stupify the Ameican people!" Reagan said, and they did!

Yet somehow the conservative ideology has such sway that I have never seen mainstream media focus on this monumental hypocrisy by the Republicans. Why doesn't anyone take their budget busting seriously? I guess the Ron Paul people have expressed their concern by supporting Ron Paul. Certainly the corporate and political elites have not roasted the Republicans for not balancing the federal budget during their watch.

So, as we emerge out of confusion about how all this Republican hypocrisy is ignored and yet also so real and so now; we see that Palin's negatives are piling up and that a Republican Senator from Nebraska, Chuck (ee pooh) Hagel?, just said she was a lightweight who doesn't belong on the ticket.

So for Palin the questions are clear: 1. Is it the end?, 2. Is it the beginning of the end? or is it 3. the end of the beginning?

Then there is the TROOPERGATE scandal where Palin and her husband are apparently not going to cooperate in the investigation into the firing of a brother-in-law of Palin's husband. Palin as governor is being investigated for instigating this firing and indeed firing those who would not discharge her husband's former brother-in-law. So, is Palin sort of pulling out of the ticket by not being honest and candid in this investigation. She once supported the investigation. Is she a co-conspirator of McCain or a patsy?

So what is Palin hiding? What is Palin hiding? Would honesty really harm her in the Troopergate scandal? If so, shouldn't we know about it now?

Other events also make it look like Sarah Palin is trying to hide her past. Why are her church web sites and other Palin related web sites being scrubbed of references to her religious cult and other Palin controversies, like trying to establish a system to ban books at her Wasilla library when she was mayor.

If McCain dumps Palin by design or no, who by surprise is waiting in the wings.? The real nominee for Vice-President all along, Senator Joe Lieberman. The story line has already been established that McCain really wanted Lieberman but chose Palin for some reason. So Lieberman seems next in line for the V.P. nomination. The Senator from the West Bank!

Now, McCain can dispose of Palin as damaged goods, but hopes he still gets support from those who supported Palin (evangelicals and Ron Paulists whom Palin supported for the Presidential nomination).

McCain will blame "the media" and the Democrats for unfairly persecuting Palin. Now, the Lieberman choice will make sense to all the national security types because Lieberman, unlike Palin, really can help McCain blow up the world! Lieberman, what a breath of fresh radioactive air!

Of course McCain could be a tough guy and go down with the ship. Perhaps Senator McCain has poor judgement. Maybe he planned to replace Palin after all in a brilliant manuever to also appeal to Democrats and the Jewish vote. Whether planned or the result of pure folly, McCain looks less attractive as the next President. McCain is either a ruthless manipulator or a dunce capable of being manipulated himself.
